faq
is everyone hearing the same thing?
yes. a room plays one track for everyone at once. come in late and you join partway through, like tuning into a radio station.
what's the difference between house and community rooms?
house rooms are run by lobby.blue and play their own playlists. you can suggest tracks for them. community rooms are made by listeners, and the people in them pick the music. anyone signed in can add tracks, unless the owner makes the queue invite only.
what does voting to skip do?
when enough of a room's signed-in listeners vote to skip, the track ends and the next one starts. in a small room, one vote is enough.
do I need an account?
not to listen. with one you can chat, add tracks, vote to skip, suggest tracks for house rooms, and make your own rooms. signing up doesn't require an email.
how do I make a room?
sign up, and then press "+ new room" at the top. give it a name, a genre, and a short description. a listed room shows up on the home page; a link-only room stays hidden, and only people with its link can get in.
why can't I hear anything?
browsers keep sound off until you click. press unmute in the room.
what do you keep about me?
as little as we can, and only for as long as we need it. the privacy page lists all of it.
