who runs lobby

lobby.blue is a hobby project run by the owner of lobby.blue. In these terms, "lobby", "we" and "us" mean the owner of lobby.blue.

who can use lobby

lobby is for adults: you need to be 18 or older to create an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we delete it.

be decent

Don't harass people, spam, impersonate anyone, or post anything illegal. Room moderators and site admins can remove tracks and messages, mute people, and ban accounts from a room or from the whole site.

illegal content

Illegal content, including threats, harassment, hate speech that's against the law, terrorist content, fraud, child sexual abuse material (including links to it), and copyright infringement, is removed when we find it or it's reported. Anyone can report a message, a track or a user from inside a room. Moderators and admins remove what's reported, and mute or ban the accounts responsible; serious cases are banned from the whole site and, where the law requires it, reported to the authorities.

If you think a moderation decision about you was wrong, email contact@lobby.blue and we'll look again.

music and YouTube

Tracks play from YouTube and stay on YouTube. lobby doesn't host audio or video. lobby uses YouTube API Services, so by using lobby you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Ads and availability of videos are up to YouTube and the people who uploaded them.

copyright

The only things hosted here are what people write (usernames, chat messages, room names and descriptions, and status messages) and the lists of YouTube videos in rooms' queues and playlists. The music and videos themselves stay on YouTube.

If you believe something on lobby infringes your copyright, email dmca@lobby.blue with: the work you believe is infringed, where it appears on lobby (the room, and what was posted), your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized. We remove infringing material we're told about, and ban accounts that repeatedly post it. If your complaint is about a video itself, report it to YouTube through its copyright form: only YouTube can take it down, and once it's gone it stops playing here too.

lobby is provided as-is. It may go down, change, or lose data. Without a confirmed recovery email on file, a forgotten password can't be recovered.
